Prisma Terms of Use

Last updated: September 30, 2026 · Versión en español

1. Who we are and acceptance

These terms govern the use of the Prisma app, its website and its services, provided by Jhon Sebastian Jaramillo, an individual with ID number 1088349265, domiciled in Colombia. By creating an account or using Prisma you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

Prisma is available in several countries. These terms don't limit the rights that your country's consumer protection law gives you and that can't be waived; if a clause conflicts with that law, the law applies on that point and the rest remains in force.

2. The app and Apple

You download Prisma from the App Store. Your license to install and use the app is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms supplement it for what they govern about the service. In addition:

  • These terms are between you and Jhon Sebastian Jaramillo, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app, its content or its support.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price of the app, if any; to the extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection claims or intellectual property claims. We handle those claims under these terms.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

3. What Prisma is and isn't

Prisma produces synthetic, directional research: it shows your content to fictional citizens generated by software and measures how they would react according to a decision model (Jev) and, for some features, OpenAI models.

  • They are not real people and this is not a survey of real people.
  • Results are estimates with uncertainty: the app shows the margin of error and when two results are a statistical tie.
  • We don't guarantee sales, reach, virality, votes or any commercial, electoral or other outcome. The decisions you make with the results are yours.
  • AI-generated text (insights, rewrites, interviews, variants) may contain errors. Review it before using it.

4. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your country, if higher), provide accurate information and protect your credentials. You're responsible for what happens with your account. If you use Prisma on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind it to these terms.

5. Prismas

  • Prismas are usage units within Prisma. They are not money or a payment instrument, they don't earn interest, they can't be transferred between accounts and they can't be exchanged for money, unless applicable law requires it.
  • Welcome bonus: 25 Prismas once per account and, when device verification is active, once per device. Reinstalling the app doesn't renew it.
  • Achievement rewards: decided and credited by the server, once per achievement. We may change or retire achievements going forward without affecting those already credited.
  • Purchased Prismas don't expire while the account exists. If you delete your account, they're lost.

6. What things cost

  • Studies: each study costs a base amount depending on the lab plus an amount depending on the people asked and the questions per person. The app shows you the cost, people and questions before running it.
  • Reservation and settlement: when a study starts, the estimated Prismas are reserved. In spread studies (organic or word of mouth) the maximum reach is reserved and whatever isn't used is refunded. If a study fails, everything is refunded.
  • AI features: insights, rewrites, each interview question, optimizer variants, image analysis and AI-generated territories cost 1 Prisma per use; generating test subjects costs 1 Prisma per 10 people. If the feature fails, the Prisma is refunded.
  • Free accounts: accounts without an active paid plan have a daily limit of AI uses, shown in the app.
  • We may change prices and costs going forward. Changes don't affect studies already started and are announced in the app.

7. Purchases and subscriptions

  • Purchases and subscriptions are made through Apple and are also governed by its terms. Apple processes the payment, charges any taxes that apply in your country and sets the price in your currency; we don't see your card data.
  • Monthly subscriptions: credit your plan's Prismas each paid period and renew automatically until you cancel. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, and renewal is charged within 24 hours before the end of the period. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
  • One-time packs: credit the Prismas once.
  • Refunds and withdrawal: handled by Apple under its policies and your country's law (reportaproblem.apple.com). If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, by purchasing you agree that the Prismas are credited immediately; the right of withdrawal is governed by Apple's terms and applicable law. If Apple refunds or revokes a purchase, we'll deduct that purchase's Prismas from your available balance.

8. Your content

  • You keep ownership of the content you submit. You give us a worldwide, limited, non-exclusive and revocable license to process it with our providers solely to provide the service to you (running studies, moderation and the AI features you request).
  • You must have the right to use everything you submit, including text, images, trademarks and ads you import from links.
  • Don't submit identifiable personal data about third parties, sensitive data, other people's trade secrets or illegal content. Populations, test subjects and audiences must be fictional or aggregated.
  • We may moderate, reject or remove content that breaks these terms or the law. If you believe some content infringes your rights, email us at brokenwatchceo@gmail.com.

9. Prohibited uses

You may not use Prisma to:

  1. Deceive, manipulate or spread disinformation, including presenting synthetic results as if they were surveys or studies with real people.
  2. Design or spread hateful, harassing or violent content, sexual content involving minors, or illegal content.
  3. Unlawfully discriminate against or profile real people.
  4. Break advertising, consumer protection, election or international sanctions laws.
  5. Automate the service, scrape data, bypass limits, payments or the welcome bonus, or create multiple accounts to exploit them.
  6. Interfere with the security or operation of the service.

10. Public links

You can create read-only public links to your results. You're responsible for who you share them with, and you can revoke them at any time. Links only show the study's aggregated summary.

11. Intellectual property

The app, its design, code, trademarks and synthetic citizen models belong to Jhon Sebastian Jaramillo or its licensors. You may use the results of your studies freely for your own purposes, as long as you state, when you present them to others, that they are synthetic results.

12. Third-party services

Prisma relies on providers such as Apple, Supabase, TypeSafe (Jev), OpenRouter, OpenAI, Meta and TikTok. We're not responsible for their failures or changes, although we'll do what's reasonable to keep the service running.

13. Availability and changes to the service

We may modify, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we'll give you reasonable advance notice and, where the law requires it, a remedy for purchased Prismas you haven't used.

14. Warranties and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prisma is provided "as is" and "as available", without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We're not liable for commercial, electoral or any other decisions made based on synthetic results, or for indirect or incidental damages or lost profits. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to it.

Nothing above excludes or limits liability that can't be excluded by law, such as liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or the rights your country's consumer protection laws give you. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we're liable under the law for foreseeable damage caused by our breach of these terms.

15. Indemnity

If you use Prisma for business purposes, you agree to hold us harmless from third-party claims caused by the content you submit or by your use of the service in breach of these terms or the law, to the extent permitted by law.

16. Termination

You can stop using Prisma and delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms or the law, notifying you when possible. When it ends, you lose access to your data and your Prismas.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live, which always apply in your favor. Before starting any claim, email us at brokenwatchceo@gmail.com so we can try to resolve it directly within 30 days. If it isn't resolved, you may go to the competent courts of Colombia, or to those of your place of residence when consumer law gives you that right. If you live in the European Union, you may also use your country's alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

18. Changes to these terms

We'll let you know in the app about significant changes before they take effect. If you keep using Prisma afterwards, you accept them; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.

19. Language

These terms are available in Spanish and English. If they differ, the version in the language your law requires prevails; otherwise, the Spanish version prevails.
